Corbin Harris

President

Corbin is from the San Francisco Bay Area, and received a B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Chemistry from Emory University and an M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. After school, he worked as a Regulatory / Clinical Consultant for medical device start-ups in the Bay Area. His current interest is Mixed Animal/ Lab Animal and comparative medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys football and basketball, and flying sailplanes.

Molly Wart

President - Elect

Molly is originally from Barrington, Rhode Island. She studied Biomedical Engineering with a focus in biomaterials at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is currently interested in small animal emergency medicine. In her free time, Molly enjoys sailing, hiking, and reading.

Sarah Rassler

Vice President

Sarah is from New Tripoli, Pennsylvania and studied Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at Penn State. She plans on working at a predominantly food animal practice, and has interests in reproduction and public health. In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking and reading.   

Lindsay Harris

Treasurer

Lindsay is from the San Francisco Bay Area and received her B.S. in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from UCLA. She also completed an internship at a biotechnology company in South San Francisco. Lindsay is interested in small animal medicine and is currently planning to own her own practice in the future. In her spare time she enjoys watching baseball and learning how to play the ukulele.

Sarah Hessen-Schmidt

Secretary

Sarah is originally from Los Altos Hills, California and received a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California. She is interested in small animal medicine and zoo/wildlife medicine. Sarah enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
 

Aubrey Vena

Marketing Chair

Aubrey grew up on a beef farm in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and completed a Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences degree at Penn State. Her interests are in One Health and mixed animal medicine and one day she hopes to contribute to her mother's small and exotic animal practice in her hometown. When she is not at school, she is spending time with her dog, barrel racing, lifting, or playing ice hockey. 

Helen Keen

Membership Coordinator

Helen is originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts and received a B.S. in Animal Science and Biological Sciences at the University of Vermont. She is primarily interested in small animal medicine and practice ownership, as well as public health. In her free time she enjoys hiking, biking, and relaxing with her cat.

Matt Herber

Web IT

Matt grew up in NJ and went to University of Vermont for his undergraduate schooling and received a BS in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. He is now a first year Veterinary Student with interests in production animal economics, epidemiology, and global health.He currently has 2 cats, a dog, and is co-raising a service puppy named Gerda. He is excited for the future his veterinary career holds and for the growth of the VBMA.
